Demolition of 16,000 Square Foot industrial floor area in stamping press bay. Installation of new supported slab flooring over basement to support heavy duty industrial storage including die storage loading of 2,000 Lbs. per square foot, 12,000 Lb. capacity heavy duty fork lift trucks and 240,000 Lb. capacity die carts. At the Owner’s request a majority of the steel used for the floor infill framing was re-used from the original installation, requiring extensive field verification of existing conditions as well as custom framing details to maintain specific slab elevations. Within the construction area (5) different flooring systems were removed and replaced with (2) different systems to maintain required finish floor elevations. The scope of work also included phasing requirements to allow traffic flow to adjacent manufacturing spaces which could not be interrupted during the construction. Additionally, existing utilities that ran through the construction area had to be maintained for adjacent manufacturing operations. CORE also provided on-site support until project completion so that any unforeseen conditions could be addressed immediately and not delay construction.
